Art trail comes back out into the open


FOLLOWING last year’s online-only festival, a popular November art event returns to a host of Valley venues this month.

Rossendale Art Trail exhibitors will include: Jackie Sumerfield Studio, 19 Sunnybank Cottages, Helmshore; Dave Pearson Studio, 54 Manchester Road, Haslingden; Valley Artists Studios, Unit D, Waterfoot Business Centre; Scott Sadler and Vincent Vee exhibition­s at The Boo, 676 Bacup Road, Waterfoot; Prospect Studios, 137-141 Burnley Road East, Waterfoot; Tina Foran @ 2b-Art Studio, Unit 1a, Britannia Mill, Crawshawbo­oth; Lesley Wolstenhol­me,

Holmes Drive, Burnley Road, Bacup; Chris Whiting, 4 Bonfire Close, Crawshawbo­oth; and The Whitaker, Rawtenstal­l.

Prospect Studios will be open on the weekend of November 13-14, from 11am to 5pm. Visitors will have the chance to enjoy cakes and coffee as they view the work on show, and raise money for MacMillan nurses. It is the first open studio since 2019 and artists Jill Randall, Liam Spencer and Alan Birch will be showing work produced during the last two years.
