Youth workers honoured

LANCASHIRE County Council is celebrating the valued role youth workers and young people play in our county as part of this year’s Youth Work Week campaign.

Youth work helps young people to learn about themselves, others and society, and is based on the belief young people should be empowered to get involved in any decisions made that might affect them.

Led by the National Youth Agency,, this week’s campaign will run into Sunday.

This year’s theme is ‘Champions of Youth Work.’,

LCC County Council is showcasing its youth workers and young champions on their Twitter, Facebook and Youth Zone Facebook pages until November 7.
