Danger driver on wrong side of road in police chase
A DANGEROUS driver overtook vehicles on the wrong side of the road in a bid to escape police.
Officers in Rossendale said the BMW ‘made off at speed’ in the Valley on Monday afternoon and failed to stop.
It then ‘endangered other road users’ by overtaking vehicles on the wrong side of the road.
The car then went down a road marked ‘no entry’ before eventually being brought to a stop.
Rossendale Police said the vehicle was seized and will be ‘turned into a nice symmetrical cube’.
No details have been released on the description of the driver and if any arrests have been made.
A spokesperson said: “A vehicle made off from Police at speed this afternoon, failed to stop from police when requested, overtook vehicles on the wrong side of the road endangering other road users before then making down a No Entry.
“The vehicle is now seized and will soon be turned into a nice symmetrical cube.”
