Nature lovers enjoy scavenging
A SCAVENGER Hunt followed by a workshop to create bug hotels and bird boxes was held in Stacksteads Riverside Park.
Stacksteads Countryside Park Group (SCPG) got a grant from the Rossendale council
Community Partnership to organise the event.
Almost 40 children came with their parents and carers to explore the park and, on completion of the course, had hot chocolate and marshmallows.

Ashley, one of the organisers, said: “It was lovely to see so many children enjoying an event in the outdoors.
“They’ve been restricted for so long that they grabbed the opportunity to spend time with nature.”
