Burglary suspect arrested

A SUSPECT has been arrested following a burglary at a business premises in Haslingden town centre.

Rossendale Police said they were alerted just before 11.15pm on Sunday, November 7 regarding a break-in on Pleasant Street.

A spokesperson said on Monday morning: “Patrols were quickly on scene and confirmed there had been a burglary but the offender had already left the scene. The premises in question had some good quality CCTV and officers were able to quickly identify the offender and clearly identify his clothing.

“Following some tenacious enquiries officers from Team 4 Immediate Response arrested a male on suspicion of burglary and the suspect is currently in custody at Greenbank police station.

“Rossendale police will continue to work hard in bringing those to justice who continue to cause misery and grief to the hard working people of Rossendale.”
