Roy’s ‘best ever’ show yields a golden return
IT was victory for Haslingden’s Roy Flanagan, taking gold in the 60 – 69 year age group at the ITU World Masters duathlon at Arviles, Spain at the weekend.
The event consists of a 10km run, 40km bike followed by a final 5km run. Flanagan has been a member of both Rossendale Harriers and Rossendale Road Club for many years and has been on the podium before, but this is the first time on the top step, stating “my best performance ever”.
