Now’s the time for festive fun

THERE will be a festival of music and dance at Bacup’s big Christmas bash on Sunday, December 12.

Acts will include the Rossendale Ukulele Band, singer Jon Penn, DJ Pete Sweetmore, the Water Village Brass Band, the Veterans in Communities Choir, and Dansworks Academy.

The Bacup Now organised event will also offer a chance to bring your letter to Santa in his grotto and get your face painted, as well as a Christmas market, entertainment, tombola, stalls and a Peter Fisher memorial photographic exhibition.

It will be held at Trinity Baptist Church, Trinity

Gardens and the market, and admission is free.

For those who cannot wait that long Santa’s Grotto will also be making an appearance on Saturday, December 4 at Bacup’s Royal Court Theatre from 10am to 2pm. Entry is free, with a gift for every child, and refreshments available.
