RUSSELL ASHWORTH

MR John Russell Ashworth, known as Russell, of Hameldon Rd, Loveclough, died at the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Sunday, November 7, aged 69 years.

Russell started work at Gaghills, Starline and Duralay Haslingden, and prior to retirement was a lollipop man at Constable School and Welfare at Crawshawbooth School.

He enjoyed bowling, darts, and was an avid Burnley supporter.

He also loved horse racing, and holidays, travelling all over, including India, Canada, and Thailand.

Russell was a member of CPA Club.

He leaves wife Noreen, daughters Lauren and Natalie and partner Kaid, beloved childhood family friend Audrey and partner Paul, cousin Ian and wife Margaret, and lots of friends.

The funeral will be held on Monday, November

22, 1.30pm at Goodshaw Baptist, followed by cremation at Burnley at 2.30pm, led by Rev Stephen Crook.
