‘Selfless’ worker set to leave chemist shop

-

COLLEAGUES past and present have saluted a “selfless” shop worker who has been a familiar and friendly face at a town’s chemist for more than two decades.

Christine Ford has worked for Cohens previously Espleys - for more than 20 years, putting her heart and soul into everything she does.

Colleagues testified that her customers always come first.

Christine, 73, who used to work at a clothes shop nearby, will leave the pharmacy on Manchester Road, Haslingden, on Friday, November 26.

Her old manager Shilpa Patel said: “Christine is such a remarkable lady, I’ve never quite met anyone like her.

“She is selfless and so kind - it’s such a pleasure to have been able to work with her.”
