The survey of 2,000 people found younger Britons are embracing the “cottage core” trend of a return to a nostalgic, country lifestyle.

Baking bread, sewing and arts and crafts are all back in fashion.

The research by 3D printer firm Glowforge also found four in 10 young adults make their own jam. Its chief executive Dan Shapiro said: “It’s great to see young British adults are fully embracing vintage and homemade items.”
