GEORGE WESTWELL

MR George Westwell, of Rosendale Crescent,

Bacup, died at the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Friday, November 19, aged 89 years.

George had many jobs before settling at Tunstead Needlefelts, part of Cormar Carpets, in Stacksteads, later in Haslingden, and Stubbins, where he worked as a warehouse foreman for over 40 years.

George loved any ball game, playing football for Blackwood United as a young man.
