Boo aiming to cast a Christmas spell

A VALLEY arts centre hopes to make this festive season a magical time for all the family with a series of events.

The Boo in Waterfoot is hosting a number of events this festive season including a Christmas show, family film night and New Year’s Eve party.

This year’s Christmas show is ‘Midwinter with Mossy,’ where Mossy and his friend Lichen try to kindle the fire and restore light for the forest animals.

The show will be performed eight times across the first two weekends in December, giving families even more opportunity to see the performance – along with a week-long run of schools and nursery performances. Families are also encouraged to join a free craft session before the show.

The Boo will also be hosting a screening of ‘The Muppet Christmas Carol’ on Sunday, December 19. There will be a non-captioned screening at 3pm and captioned screening at 6pm, to allow deaf and hard of hearing audiences to enjoy the film in a relaxed, cosy cinema.

For the New Year celebrations The Boo have teamed up with Mini Me Time Rossendale Valley for a special New Year’s Eve event. Expect fun and games with Mini Me Time before a 12noon countdown and balloon drop.
