Cross lights up church
EDENFIELD Parish Church has a new LED illuminated nine-foot high cross on the leaning tower.
It was engineered and raised by church warden and engineer Mark Studholme, along with engineer friends Mark Wilson and Steve Niebel.
Gill Dean Lofthouse, from the church, said it has been in place for a few weeks.
She said: “I think it’s brilliant - we love it. We just wanted something that was representative of the fact the church was there.
“We wanted to do something you could see around the Valley, and we’d like to know whereabouts in the Valley you can see it from.”
