MR Arthur Trickett, of Tunstead Crescent, Stackstead­s, passed away peacefully in the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Friday, November 26, aged 83.

Arthur loved socializin­g with his late wife Eileen to whom he was married for 60 years. Then travelling the world after their children had all grown up.

Arthur worked for RTMasts as a rigger until he took late retirement.

Arthur leaves his son John and daughter-in-law Tracey, daughter Colleen, daughter Lyn and son-in-law Gordon. He was also father to the late Christina. He leaves 10 grandchild­ren, 15 great-grandchild­ren and one great, greatgrand­daughter, brother Keith, and sister-in-law Dorothy.

His funeral will take place on Tuesday, December 14, when his funeral cortège will be leaving his home in Tunstead Crescent at approximat­ely 10.40am to make its way to St Anne’s Church, Edgeside, where the Rev. Rod Bevan will conduct a private service at 11am, followed by cremation at Burnley Crematoriu­m at 12.15pm.

Flowers are welcome, with donations if desired in memory of Arthur’s late wife Eileen to the Alzheimer’s Society via the funeral director Sharon Aspinall for Agápe Funeral Service, Waterfoot.
