Riot of colour

-

THORN Primary School in Bacup held a Colour Run as a whole school event during Anti-Bullying Week.

The pupils had an amazing time and raised more than £1,000 for the Forest School through generous sponsor donations from parents, family and friends.

School Games Organiser

Nathan Bibby, from The Valley Leadership Academy, supported the event and helped to set up the course around the Forest School.

Four colour stations were set up at different points along the route and some ‘brave’ volunteers, including site supervisor and Rossendale Rugby Club coach Ian Jones, helped throw the colour powder.

The children were given party bags which they loved throwing in the air to create a vivid mass of colour at the beginning of each run.
