Free events for children

-

FREE activities will be available for hundreds of families in the lead up to Christmas.

The Holiday Activity and Food Programme (HAF) is being co-ordinated by Rossendale Leisure Trust and delivered by partners across the Valley.

The free sessions are for young people aged four to 16 who are in receipt of free school meals or in need of support so they can have a healthy active Christmas break and be provided with a nutritious meal or snack.

HAF is funded by £200,000 from the Department for Education and sessions will run from every day from December 20-23, with a special extra Lego Robotics morning at the Adrenaline Centre on Saturday, December 18.

Activities will include skiing and tubing, gymnastics, hula hooping, dancing and multiskills.

Infinite Reality is hosting VR gaming sessions, while at Cribden House young people with special educational needs can get back to nature with forest schools. At Haslingden Community Link there will be a Christmas meal for primary age pupils and their families on Thursday, December 21.
