AVALLEY manufacturing company that has grown its workforce from one to 20 in just over a year in business is celebrating twin success - a move to bigger premises and awards success.

Aluminium and Upvc Trade manufacturers and suppliers FrameX offer a range of windows, doors, lantern roofs and commercial glazing solutions.

Based in Waterfoot since launching in September 2020, the business boasted an annual turnover in excess of £1 million in its first year of trading.

As a result of their rapid expansion, FrameX are now moving from a single unit at Waterfoot Business Centre to nearby Hugh Business Park, where they will be leasing units from B&E Boys.

They have already invested £500,000 in new machinery for their new premises, to include a large state of the art manufacturing facility.

In recognition of this lightning start the firm was a finalist in the New Business category at last month’s Red Rose Awards, aiming to celebrate the very best of Lancashire business, commerce and industry.

FrameX then went one better at the Rossendale Business Awards, where they scooped the Invest in Rossendale trophy in the December 1 ceremony at the Ashcroft in Whitworth.

Director Tim Mooney said: “It has been an amazing year and we couldn’t have done it without our brilliant team, and the unbelievable support from our customers.

“We are looking forward to the factory move as this will give us much needed capacity, and plenty of extra floor space to grow into.

“During 2022 we will be looking to recruit at least 10 more employees; it would be great to employ locally. We would also like to thank all the staff at B&E Boys who have been great to deal with.”
