BACUP NATURAL HISTORY SOCIETY

AS a recently retired Committee member of some 22 years, I thought that I was pretty knowledgeable about the old place. Wrong!

After only a very brief tour of their newly reshaped Museum, I found myself on a completely new learning curve. Apart from a much improved and more logical grouping and flow of exhibits (some on show for the first time), every item was clearly labelled and lit. All visitors to their first Open Day on Saturday, December 4 (following the re-opening the previous day by Mayor Jackie Oakes accompanied by

Mayoress Christine Lamb) have unanimously endorsed the “New NAT”, including a modern Resource Centre and the added comfort from its central heating!
