2 in hospital after crash

TWO people were hospitalised following a crash on Friday morning, December 17.

Two fire engines from Haslingden and Rawtenstall attended the road traffic collision on Grane Road, Haslingden.

Firefighters said they were called to the incident, which involved two vehicles, at 7.20am.

They released one casualty from their vehicle using stabilisation equipment and bolt croppers.

The casualties were conveyed to the hospital by North West Ambulance Service paramedics.

Crews were in attendance for around an hour.
