White Horse have new ‘stable’

-

HAVING had to move online earlier in the pandemic, a Valley project which helps young people develop life skills within their local community is settling into its new base.

The White Horse Project’s (WHP) vision is to make a difference to the lives of young people in the local area.

Until October, the project ran its programme over Zoom, but since then face-toface sessions resumed at Newchurch Methodist Church, their new venue and home for the foreseeable future after previously being based in Waterfoot.

The WHP provide free positive activities for young people and are passionate about helping young people reach their full potential. The projects they run aim to improve mental and physical well-being and promote social responsibility.

Free weekly projects currently available to 11 to 18-year-olds are theatre, art, music, and a home education group that meets once a month. All these projects aim to be fun and engaging while teaching various skills.

They also offer free well-being theatre sessions to local high schools and are currently visiting Valley Leadership Academy and All Saints on a weekly basis.

If you are interested in accessing any of the sessions or are interested in volunteering you can get in touch with Cath Eddisford, well-being leader, by emailing cath. eddisford@ thewhitehorseproject. co.uk or visit The White Horse Project on Facebook and Instagram.
