Treble all the better before packed house

HAT-TRICK hero Anthony Hall said netting his treble in front of a bumper crowd made his day all the more special.

Boro attendances have been on the rise of late and Monday’s clash saw fans queuing to get in after the 3pm kick off time.

“It was a fantastic game to be involved in,” said Hall. “We did make it hard work giving away that early goal but once we got into our stride there was no turning back.

“Every player put in a brilliant shift and the support we’ve witnessed today has been amazing.

“Watching supporters still coming into the ground after kick off gave us a real buzz.

“Coming back to the club was a good decision for me. I knew that it was going to be difficult getting into the side with so many quality players in the final third looking for a shirt, but I’m relishing the challenge it brings and hopefully today repaid that belief in me by Brent (Peters) and Dave (Felgate).”

Peters also reserved special praise for the supporters.

“The result was fantastic, but my team talk at the end was more about our supporters and those who have come along to West View for the first time today.

“It’s been a long time since we’ve managed to attract over 200 to a home game.

“Watching people still queuing up to get in at ten past three made me quite emotional.

“They’re coming to watch this young talented local group of players.

“Rossendale lads, Whitworth lads all producing the goods for the Borough, it’s fantastic.

“I told the players that their performances on the pitch and the hard work taking place off it is all part of bringing people through the turnstile to support the local team, and today they entertained them throughout.”

This week the football club launched its very own radio station BORO RADIO.

It’s an online platform that is available via the club’s website 24/7.

The station will play an array of music and bring live match commentary of Boro’s games home and away.
