COUNCIL HAS LOST VOICE
THIS is the second article I have read about development in Rossendale. (‘Controversy as Local Plan finally gets go-ahead,’ December 24).
We have thousands of objections to the Taylor Wimpey development on Holcombe Road.
Reading this article yet again our councillors pass these schemes despite residents who pay taxes, council tax etc not being fairly listened to. When do residents get a fair hearing?
We watched the vote for Holcombe Road on a ZOOM link and, after years of research and endless hours of writing to local councillors with no reply, I may add our comments were brushed aside.
We vote for our local authorities to be in power to look after us and our towns. Unfortunately they seem to have lost their voices and who they should represent.
Looks like big developers have more influence than the voters and good residents of Rossendale.
