KATHLEEN died peacefully in hospital, following an accident, with her loved ones by her side on Tuesday, December 21.

Kathleen was born in Acre, daughter of Thomas and Mary Hoolohan and sister to Mary, Margaret and Rita.

Dearly loved wife of the late John, Kathleen was devoted to her family and leaves daughter Margaret who was married to the late Ian Bolton, and daughter Helen and son-in-law Wayne.

She leaves granddaugh­ter Victoria and husband Phil, grandsons John and Daniel and his partner Sarah, greatgrand­children, Cormac, Niamh and Oak, brotherin-law Stan and his wife Marie and their family.

Kathleen also leaves her niece Carmel and her family Ian, Anthony and Catherine, and nephew Tom and partner Vanessa and his family.

She was active in the local community, a Soroptimis­t member, and ended her working life as a Personal Assistant.

Kathleen was involved with St Veronica’s Church, where she was a Catechist and Eucharisti­c minister and later involved with St Marie’s Church, Haslingden.

Kathleen lived in

Jubilee Court following the death of her husband and made many friends there. Latterly, she lived for a short period in Highfield Hall Care Home.

She was fortified by the Rites of Holy Mother Church.

Requiem Mass will be con celebrated by Father Martin J Broadley and Father Frank Downs at St Marie’s Roman Catholic Church, Bury Road Haslingden on Monday, January 10 at 10am, followed by burial at Haslingden Cemetery.
