Crews tackle house fire
TWO fire engines from Rawtenstall and Hyndburn attended a house fire on Pine Street, Haslingden on Tuesday afternoon.
The fire involved floorboards and joists in a first-floor bedroom of the property.
Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, one thermal image camera and one positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the fire.
The fire service was called out shortly after 3.35pm and crews were at the scene for an hour and 40 minutes.
