Drop in and tell police team your problems

ROSSENDALE Police local teams have begun a series of drop-in sessions for members of the public to raise questions or issues in person.

The force unveiled four new neighbourh­ood constables last September, along with ten PCSO roles.

Sessions have been held this week in Helmshore, Crawshawbo­oth and Whitewell Bottom, with the others to come being:

McDonald’s Rising Bridge - Wednesday, January 19 from 1pm; Wednesday, February 9 from 1pm; Wednesday, March 2 from 1pm.

Tesco Superstore, Syke Street, Haslingden Wednesday, January 26 from 7pm; Sunday, February 13 from 2pm; Wednesday, February 23 from 12noon; Tuesday, March 15 from 7.30pm.

There will be a table on the top balcony for people to come and speak with officers.

Whitworth Police Office (Whitworth & Shawforth) - Tuesday, January 18 from 7pm to 8pm; Saturday, January 22 from 10am to 11am.

Anna’s Cafe-Bar, 165 Burnley Road, Bacup (Greensclou­gh) - Wednesday, January 19 from 6pm.

The Maden Centre, Bacup (Bacup Town Centre) - Wednesday, January 26 from 2pm.

Although Covid is still very much an issue these events will be fully compliant with the regulation­s, but still give people a chance to speak with their local officers in person.
