JUNE LEWIS

IT is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs June Lewis after a long battle with illness.

June, from Hammond Avenue, Stacksteads passed away on Friday, December 31, aged 66.

She was the beloved wife of the late David and sadly leaves behind her sons David, James, John and Peter, her daughter Lorraine and their respective partners.

She also leaves 17 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, four sisters, one brother, and many friends.

June was born and raised in Liverpool and had lived in Rossendale since 1979 where most of her family still reside.

The funeral service will take place at Burnley Crematorium on Friday, January 14 at 11.30am.

The wake will be held at her granddaughter’s pub The British Queens in Bacup afterwards should anyone wish to attend.
