MRS Jean Higham, of Oozehead Lane, Blackburn, fought bravely for eight years with cancer before she passed away at the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Wednesday, January 5, aged 74.

Jean was a nursing home proprietor and had her own jewellery business.

She loved shopping, chatting to her friends, the gym, going to Lytham, travel, and holidays with the late Stan and daughter Beverley.

Partner of the late Stan, she leaves six children, George, Brent, Simon, Beverley, Lance, and Gareth, several grandchild­ren, several great-grandchild­ren, stepchildr­en Kim and Martin, daughters-in-law, one brother and sister, nieces and nephews, cousins, and lots of friends.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, January 27, at 10.30am at St Anne’s Church, Edgeside, followed by cremation at Burnley at 12.15pm.

Family flowers only please; donations if desired to St Anne’s Church, Edgeside.
