MRS Jean Corbridge, of Tor View, Haslingden, died on Tuesday, January 11, at Royal Blackburn Hospital, aged 83.

She leaves her son Frank, daughter Jeanette, daughter-in-law Jenny, four grandchild­ren, Rachel, Karen, Terry and Michael, and greatgrand­children.

She trained at Blackburn secretaria­l college and worked at Whittaker’s Mill in Grane Road, Haslingden.

She lived in Devon for 14 years, where she worked as a seamstress, before returning to Haslingden.

Jean was a member of Haslingden Methodist Church and in her spare time enjoyed caravannin­g and gardening.

The funeral will take place on Friday, January 28, with a service at Haslingden Methodist Church at 10am, followed by a cremation at Accrington Crematoriu­m, officiated by Rev Elizabeth Kirova.
