ROSSENDALE ROTARY CLUB

THE generosity of Valley folk never ceases to amaze and that was certainly true with Rossendale Rotary Club’s pre-Christmas charity collections when £3,000 was generously given and will, in due course, be used to support the needs of our local community.

We are most grateful to all those who willingly donated, either via Santa’s Sleigh or the bucket collections at Tesco Haslingden and Asda Rawtenstall. We must also extend our gratitude to the management of both superstores for allowing us to collect there.

Santa’s Sleigh could not have been so successful without the help of the Venture Scouts, under the direction of Nick Green; they are far more agile on their feet than Rotarians!

Of course our thanks must go to Father Christmas himself, who, at his peak period, gave up his time to bring a little bit of pre-Christmas magic to the children he met on his journeys.
