MARGARET SINCLAIR

Bateson, of Rossendale, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 20, aged 95.

Husband of the late Joan, he leaves behind daughter Sylvia, sons Steven, Nigel and Colin.

Daughters-in-law Sue, Linda and Anita, along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A retired Police

Sergeant known locally as “Sergeant Bill Bateson” who was popular within amateur boxing circles.

A keen gardener and an avid pianist.

The funeral will take place on Friday, February 11, with a 10am service at Haslingden Methodist Church, followed by a committal at Accrington Crematorium officiated by the Rev Elizabeth Kirova.

Family flowers only, with donations if desired to Haslingden Methodist Church.
