WHAT you’ve been saying on our Facebook page:

● PATIENT fury at invite to weight loss group (see p15):

Robert Ibbotson: If the doctor said that to me I’d be on the floor in stitches

Amanda Palmer: People are way too oversensitive. They are a doctor’s surgery and a lot of health issues can occur from being overweight. Andrew Flockhart:

Absolutely nothing wrong with this. A very many health issues are caused or contributed to by being overweight as well most people know. This is a proactive way of offering services to people who may want them. You get text messages all the time from companies advertising things or similar, most of which will probably be bad for you in some way. You read the message, decide it’s not applicable and move on with your life.

Maureen Kirkwood: I received the same text but as I am not overweight I just deleted it. It isn’t aimed at only overweight people it’s just offering a service if you require it.

Emma Bailey: I got the message and I signed up as it gives you access to the gym, swimming pool and also helpful advice with food and your body if you need it. People are far too sensitive these days

Jess Aspinall: So people constantly complain about lack of support and access to services, they then get offered support and access to services and they still moan! ● LANCASHIRE risks ‘falling behind’ neighbours without elected mayor - MP Jake Berry, see p4:

Vicky Roberts: Well we don’t want an Andy Burnham do we - so no thanks

Mark Kirby: Our little town looks like a third world country, fell behind years ago, believe me it’s not going to get any better

Christopher Walton: No no no just scrap mayors

Dave Sexton: YAY let’s get a mayor, then a clean air bill and start charging the Mancs for coming into Lancs.

Keith Trickett: We don’t want a Burnham

Luke South: Sounds to me like democracy isn’t quite as as good as it should be. From reading the article you would think too many bureaucrats and not enough communist leaders to do the decision making. Or did I read it wrong!

Patrick Pepperday: Like Andy Burnham or the awful Khan in London, I think not.

Lesley Gray: Which would mean another charge added to council tax

● JAKE Berry defends Boris Johnson after police party probe (see p5):

Mia Alexis Warren: I’m so shocked! I just fell off my unicorn!

Michelle Mahy: They’re all as bad as each other one rule for us different for them x

Annie McMahon: Unbelievable. I don’t know which world he inhabits but is not the same one as the people of Rossendale.

Sandra Cottingham: This has got totally out of control. Look around you and see what is going on.

Julie Turner: Shame on you, Jake Berry. You should be ashamed to be part of this government.

Judy Taylor: Well he would do!

Subrina Shah: It wasn’t Bojo who successfully delivered the vaccine rollout. It was the tireless work of the biomedical scientists, NHS staff and volunteers that stepped forward. What a huge slap in the face for all those key workers.
