David Evans: 75 of them and they were ‘scolded? Why weren’t they taken to Burnley in ‘Black Mariahs and kept in the cells overnight or, heaven forfend, actually charged with criminal offences?

Mike Hughes: Thinking of the poor Groundsman who works a full time job. Then he takes care of the pitches on his own for free. How is that right?... No concerns about the kids having fun and letting off steam. Most of us did it back in the 80s but we never left a mess behind. Jenna Lusty: Pretty sure another report said ‘the responsible of the group cleared it up when asked.’ I’m more amazed at the organisation skills, please can the organisers contact me for my next party! Need event planners. Have fun young peep, be good, if you can’t be good, be safe!

Annie McMahon: The police did the right thing. I hope they made the parents come and villi them. The other worrying thing is not just the

“mess” they made of the football pitch but there’s also a state of the art running pitch (paid for by public money and money raised through fundraising) is in danger of being ruined. Marl Pits needs added safety protection.
