AN organisation has released a fundraising appeal to help them continue the work they do.

Stubbylee Community Greenhouses, which is based in between the beautiful parks of Stubbylee and Moorlands in Bacup, needs help from members of the public to continue their services.

The charitable trust is a thriving hub for person centred support, volunteering opportunities and social connection and training for all adults over 18.

All activities and courses are free and open to all members of the community.

The group’s community ethos is one where respect for the individual and the environment is the main focus with an emphasis on teamwork and working towards a common goal.

They have helped hundreds of people overcome personal, emotional, social and economic adversity.

The team describe the impact of their work as ‘life saving’ and they hope that they can continue to support people.

A monthly pledge of £5 will provide two free hot meals for two days for one participant for one year, and pay for public transport for one return journey for one participant to attend for a year.

Monthly payments of £10 will provide the resources for one Therapeutic Art session for 8 attendees, and provide gardening resources for our Living Life Dementia

group. People can help to provide PPE equipment for our gardening courses for one month, and provide resources for our vegetable growing project to provide fresh fruit and vegetables for our volunteers for £25 a month.

A monthly pledge of £50 will cover the cost of one sessional worker to deliver

peer support in our art and craft session for one year.

A monthly donation of £100 will provide support for four adults with learning difficulties in a session

of their choice.
