COURTNEY PARKER DUNCAN RAMSBOTTOM

COURTNEY Parker sadly passed on May 13, aged 54.

He was the much-loved husband of Lindsay, father of Thomas and Hannah, son of Maureen, brother of Julie and brother-in-law to

Jonathan.

He also leaves many loved nephews, nieces, in-laws, family and friends.

His funeral will take place at St Mary’s,Haslingden on Thursday, May 25 at 1pm.

DUNCAN Ramsbottom, of Greenbank Street, Rawtenstall, passed away at home on May 14, aged 77 years.

Duncan worked for the TSB and then moved onto Valley Supply Company Ltd in Stacksteads, where he worked for 35 years.

He took over as transport manager after the death of his father Eddie, he then worked for N.O.P. until his retirement.

Duncan was very much a family man who liked nothing better than his family being together. He enjoyed sport, he played football for Longholme and Goodshaw United and was an avid supporter of Burnley FC. He played cricket for Lancashire

School Boys and Rawtenstall CC, where he was a member for many years.

Duncan was an active member of St Mary’s in Rawtenstall. He was a scout and a member, then leader of the Covenanter Youth group belonging to St Mary’s Church.

He had been a church warden and was a member of the PCC.

Duncan leaves his wife Barbara, daughter Claire, son-in-law Mark, grandchildren Harvey and Eleanor, sister-in-law Karen, brother-in-law Peter, nephew Robert and family, niece Kathryn and family and cousins Judith and Shirley. His funeral will take place on Thursday, June 1 at St Mary’s Church, Rawtenstall at 1.30pm, conducted by Rev Samuel Hameen, followed by cremation at Accrington Crematorium at 3pm.
