Mystery car clocks up many smiles per flour

-

RESIDENTS have been left confused after a car covered in flour and other foodstuffs rocked up on their street overnight.

Taking to social media, a resident of Onchan Drive, Bacup, posted a photo of the defaced vehicle, which turned up one morning outside her home. It appeared the car had been covered with food and doused with flour.

An empty packet of flour was left by the prankster, on the back windscreen wiper of the car. A plastic carrier bag with mystery contents also hung on the drivers side. The poster said the mystery prank happened overnight, but has no idea what the motives were.

Posting to a local group, it reads: “This car is outside my house on Onchan

Drive. It’s covered in food and flour. It’s arrived at some point during the night. Anyone know who it belongs to?”

The post attracted much attention from people in

the area, with other residents offering their speculations on the motives for the act. One suggested: “That’s something an ex would do , looks like a bag of clothes

on the handle too, gonna be a right pain to get off with the sun .... Hope the owner sorts it.”

Another commented: “Maybe it was the owner’s birthday. Cake

ingredients?” However, it appears that the owner of the car has been found, along with the very innocent and simple reason behind the incident.

Taking to the comment section, the suspected owner revealed that it was a friend who decided to pull the prank, writing: “A mate of mine that has done it to me, after cling filming it a few days ago as well, be getting them back tonight.”

They also debunked rumours that the tyres had been slashed, simply replying that the perpetrator had “only let them down.”
