A FAMILY favourite experience will be returning on Early May Bank Holiday weekend.

Thomas The Tank Engine will be exchanging Sodor for the East Lancashire Railway, bringing along his good friend - Sir Topham Hatt.

The day starts at Bury Bolton Street Station, where the little ones will have the chance to meet Sir Topham Hatt, before being introduced to Thomas for photos and hopping on board a rake of heritage carriages set to be pulled by the famous blue steam locomotive.

Thomas will then pull the train through the picturesque Greater Manchester countryside on a fun-filled journey to Ramsbottom station.

Onboard, families will be transported back to Bury Bolton Street, where the doors to Bury Transport Museum will open to a whole host of fun activities.
