Fijian Drua defeated Queensland Country 36-26 in front of a crowd of 6,523 at Churchill Park in Lautoka to lift the National Rugby Championship title.
Albert Tuisue scored a brace while Eremasi Radrodro, Peni Naulago and Alivereti Veitokani also crossed for tries for the eventual champions, with No 9 Frank Lomani named Man of the Match.
Drua coach Senirusi Seruvakula said: “It’s massive for the pathway in Fiji for local talent and it’s a great achievement for Fiji rugby. It’s been a successful year.
“Queensland Country have beaten us three times, so winning the final means we’ve beaten all the Australian teams.”
