Hartpury College will again compete in the World Schools Festival in South Africa in

2019. The 20-team event – the brainchild of Heyneke Meyer – will be staged at Paul Roos Gymnasium. Hartpury head coach Wayne Thompson said of the side’s return to the tournament: “We produced 11 schoolboy internationals last season and we wanted to be tested by the best, and what better way to test the players than in South Africa?” …the act of tackling or slowing down an opponent by grabbing their shirt. ‘Scrag’ is also the name for running team moves against opposition in training, which is not full contact but more physical than touch.
