CY MOMENT ATE DRAMA

-

In 2012, minutes before France were due to kick off against Ireland, referee Dave Pearson was forced to call off the game due to parts of the Stade de France pitch being frozen – a nadir for the tournament. The fixture was played three weeks later and ended in a 17-17 draw.

IIn the Six Nations’ most dramatic climax ever, in 2015 Wales, Ireland and England each looked set to win the title at different points on the final day. Playing last, England needed a 26-point win over France. They fell short, 55-35, so a tuxedoed Ireland lifted the trophy at Murrayfield.
