MEMORY LANE

-

There have been 835 players who have played for the British & Irish Lions since it all began in 1888. Of those, the shortest career is Cardiff flanker Stuart Lane (above left), who, 50 seconds into his debut against Eastern Province in May 1980, ruptured his ACL in his right knee in a tackle. He never touched the ball and didn’t play again on tour.
