A PRINCELY SUM

-

Almost every detail of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s wedding has been mulled over since Harry and Meghan tied the knot in Windsor.

But one thing remains a mystery – where Harry enjoyed his stag do.

One strong candidate is Verbier, Switzerland.

My spies in the resort tell me that Harry was spotted in a luxury chalet with some friends in April, one of only two in the resort with its own swimming pool and tennis court.

Guests at that chalet were spotted heading for the snow dressed in Sumo outfits, my sources tell me, suggesting someone was having a party.

Other celebrities often seen in Verbier include Richard Branson, James Blunt (who has a local ski lift named after him), Jude Law and Jamie Oliver. “The resort is popular because it offers a varied ski terrain, guaranteed snow,

It’s a Grade-II listed former farmhouse near the village of Chardstock with 30 acres of land, countryside views, a five-bedroom main house with a secret passageway and a lounge with a beam ceiling. There’s also a stone one-bedroom guest cottage, and several outbuildings including an orangery, barn, thatched boat house, double garage and a tractor shed.

It’s on the market with Jackson-Stops in Bridport (01308 423133) for £1.55m. great summer sports plus good restaurants and nightlife,” says Tim Swannie of luxury buying agent Home Hunts.

If you want to rub shoulders with the royal set in Verbier then Tim has this triplex apartment for sale at £10.63m. The 400 sq m property has three bedrooms, a spa and an outside hot tub.

See home-hunts.com for more information.

He’s now relisted the property at £13.95m. But because Conti paid just £770,000 for the house in 1985, whatever the final selling price, he and his wife Kara are going to make a handsome profit on the sale.

Designed in 1903 by mathematician and educationalist William Garnett for his family, its design was inspired by Lewis Carroll’s nonsense poem Jabberwocky. The four-bedroom Edwardian house is set in large gardens, has a double-height ballroom along with an unusual minstrel gallery.

It also has a home cinema, an extraordinary chandelier in one of the reception rooms, outbuildings and a roof terrace with great views over London.
