The tragic need for foodbanks
I feel compelled to write this email too you in connection with the article on foodbanks.
This country is one of the richest countries in the world. And yet, the people of this country have to depend on foodbanks to survive. And made to live in the Victorian age.
All politicians are the same, make promises of what they are going too do. But, foodbanks were never heard of until the Conservatives took power – they have trebled in number. Everyone, has suffered due to the horrendous cuts to this country.
And yet instead of both Labour and Lib Dems get constantly on the backs of Theresa May over what is happening in this country, she will not back down. And will continue to make this country suffer.
No matter what benefit you are on, or on low pay, lots of people depend on foodbanks to live. We have fantastic volunteers who hand out food. And then its restricted to how much you can have.
Christmas is just round the corner, and many more people who go to the foodbanks, and people will suffer. And yet very soon all MPs will go on a very long break and tuck into lovely food.
MPs of all parties should be ashamed of themselves to allow this to happen. They should totally scrap Universal Credit, Brexit should be axed, as there will be more unemployed due to companies moving out of the country over Brexit.
I have certainly changed my mind after the false promises given to us – yes, by MPs
Lets get this country back on its feet, get rid of Theresa May, and Jeremy Corbyn – and I am a Labour voter. He just doesn’t have the bottle to take on Theresa May. Let’s have a leader, who will be strong enough to sort out this country.
Let’s have a general election in the new year, and make this country happy again.
As at the moment we are in a right mess thanks to Theresa May. Arthur Gray
