In 2020 the team faced an uncertain future when the pandemic forced an early end to the football season. That same year, American actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney announced their intention to buy Wrexham AFC. This unlikely underdog story unfolds in a documentary series which follows Reynolds and McElhenney as they travel from Hollywood to Wales to inspire confidence in the locker room and the wider community.
