JANE Horrocks and Samson Kayo reprise their roles as paramedic colleagues Wendy and Maleek from the South Hill Ambulance Depot. Their friendship is tested when Wendy accuses Maleek of drinking on the job, potentially endangering the lives of patients in their care.

Team leader Jo (Lucy Punch) awkwardly resolves her feelings for Lawrence (Julian Barratt) but they aren’t the only members of the team about to feel the rush of an emotional rollercoaster.

Additionally, former Doctor Who actor Peter Davison makes a special cameo appearance (sans sonic screwdriver) as a retired surgeon.
