MARION McMULLEN finds out how Jane Dunn is adding some sparkle to her cakes and bakes to celebrate summer

JANE DUNN is one of the nation’s favourite bakers and the author of the fastestsel­ling baking book of all time.

Celeb fans include Stacey Solomon and Mrs Hinch and she’s been called the “Mary Berry of the Instagram age” with her giant, gooey NYC-style cookie recipe racking up more than 1.5 million blog views.

Baking boomed in lockdown. As thousands turned to repeating – and burning – the same boring banana bread, Jane was on a mission to make baking easy for everyone, and to share, inspire and spread joy in the kitchen.

When Jane’s first book was published post-lockdown, it became an instant bestseller, with a

record breaking 44,444 copies sold in the first three days.

Her new book, Jane’s Patisserie: Celebrate, is out now and was number one on Amazon’s bestseller list before it was even published.

Jane says of her margarita cupcakes: “This cupcake recipe is divine and the perfect bake for any party, but in my opinion, you can’t beat serving them in the summer.”
