WARPED SPEED AHEAD

STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS – SEASON 3 Amazon Prime, from Friday August 26

THE comedy created by Mike McMahan continues to boldly go where few animated capers have gone before in the company of Captain Carol Freeman (voiced by Dawnn Lewis) and the crew of the USS Cerritos.

THE second series ended with a cliffhanger – Freeman was placed under arrest for supposedly detonating a Veruvian bomb on the Pakled home world. Her fate is revealed alongside other members of Starfleet’s least important ship including ensign Beckett Mariner (Tawny Newsome) and Andorian junior officer Jennifer Sh’reyan (Lauren Lapkus), who have finally admitted their true feelings for each other.

A 24TH century quest for justice spearheaded by Beckett, Brad Boimler (Jack Quaid), Tendi (Noel Wells) and Rutherford (Eugene Cordero) takes the Cerritos far from home and into the orbit of the Deep Space Nine space station.
