■ THE family that stays together survives a hellish cross-country road trip in director Millicent Shelton’s action thriller.
DIRE financial straits force Brenda (Queen Latifah) and her husband Reggie (Chris “Ludacris” Bridges) to transplant their teenage daughter Kelly (Mychala Lee) and young son Cam (Shaun Dixon) to Houston, Texas.
DURING an exhausting drive, they stop overnight in a single room at the Sunset Motel.
THEIR sleep is interrupted by the sound of a fight and a gun shot. In an adjacent room, Brenda and Reggie discover a fatally injured man and a bag full of money.
THE husband takes the cash as the family flee into the New Mexico desert, unaware that the loot belongs to a powerful drug cartel. Alone in the wilderness with just each other for help, Brenda, Reggie and the kids are drawn into a fight for survival with a mysterious killer.
