VENGEANCE BY PROXY

-

DO REVENGE Netflix, from September 16

■ HELL hath no fury like two young women scorned in a black comedy directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson.

DO Revenge centres on high school queen bee Drea (Camila Mendes), whose exalted position on campus is undermined when a sex tape is leaked to classmates. Drea’s boyfriend, resident dreamboat Max (Austin Abrams), is the likely culprit.

AT tennis camp, Drea has a chance encounter with socially awkward transfer student Eleanor (Maya Hawke), whose life is also a living misery. Eleanor has been reunited with her old bully, Carissa (Ava Capri), who started a nasty rumour about her.

DREA and Carissa form a secret bond and vow to destroy each other’s tormentors in a contemporary twist on Hitchcock’s thriller Strangers On A Train.
