■ TWO weeks after former Prime Minister Boris Johnson vacated his Downing Street office, Kenneth Branagh portrays the politician in a five-part drama penned by Michael Winterbottom and Kieron Quirke.

THIS England chronicles Johnson’s rise to No 10, alongside his partner Carrie Symonds (Ophelia Lovibond). Cabinet colleagues Matt Hancock (Andrew Buchan) and Priti Patel (Bitu Thomas) support Johnson through turbulent times, including the emergence of Covid-19.

JOHNSON is admitted to hospital with the virus – but allegations from former chief adviser Dominic Cummings (Simon Paisley Day) pose a far greater threat to his leadership and legacy.
