■ AFTER the popularity of his first culinary tour of Italy, the American actor is back for a second series of food-themed journeys around his ancestral homeland. In the first episode, Stanley visits Venice, once one of the world’s great trading centres.

HE explores the food culture of the Venetians now and through history that HAS been influenced by its proximity to the water and by the cosmopolitan influences it has absorbed over the years. Piedmont, Umbria and London’s Italian food scene feature in the other episodes.
